 Zenith 6G001Y Transoceanic Companion 
The Zenith 6G001Y Transoceanic Companion portable radio was introduced as a smaller AM Broadcast only companion to the 8G005Y in 1946. On this model Zenith returned to the shutter type dial that disappears when the set is turned off. This set has been recovered with a Black Tolex material very similar to the original covering which is no longer produced. All brass and external screws have been polished and lacquered to retain a shine. Plastic surfaces have been polished and the electronics restored.
